St. Patrick’s is proud to announce the successful launch of SistersIN course, a bespoke program aimed at nurturing the leadership potential of its female students. This initiative provides a unique platform for Year 13 students to develop crucial skills in communication, problem-solving, and strategic thinking, preparing them for leadership roles in higher education, their careers, and their communities.
This course goes beyond traditional academic curricula by offering a blend of workshops, mentoring, and practical projects. Students will engage with a series of modules covering topics such as
Effective communication and public speaking: Mastering the art of clear, confident expression.
Negotiation and conflict resolution: Learning to navigate complex situations with grace and authority.
Strategic planning and project management: Gaining the skills to turn ideas into action.
Building resilience and self-advocacy: Developing the confidence to overcome challenges and champion their own success.
Ethical leadership: Understanding the importance of integrity and responsibility in leadership roles.
A key component of the program is the mentorship scheme, which pairs each student with a successful female professional from various industries. These mentors will provide personalised guidance, share their experiences, and offer invaluable insights into the realities of leadership in the modern world.
